Kirsty and Alana co-founders of Happy Mind Society, have created over 60 workbooks. Kirsty is a psychology-informed wellbeing practitioner and Alana, is a coach and psychological practitioner.

These wonderful ladies have created accessible wellbeing resources, from online courses to a growing range of practical workbooks.

Welcome to Wiinter Wellness at The Wellness Barn Edinburgh!

This wellness-boosting afternoon includes:
 
  • social connection with other like-minded people
  • mindfulness meditation and gentle breathworks to enhance relaxation
  • a mindful walk outdoors at the foot of the Pentland Hills (weather permitting)
  • setting some simple wellness intentions for the upcoming season
  • a restful soundbath (including Himalayan bowls, crystal bowls, monolini, Native American flute and more), taking you into a state of enhanced peace and calm

Pause to Be was established by Elspeth Lewis in 2019 to share the life-enhancing benefits of mindfulness with others.
 
Elspeth is a certified Mindfulness Teacher, sound practitioner, and author, based in Edinburgh, Scotland. She is also a parent to two teenagers and a lively golden retriever. Elspeth recognises the importance of sharing mindfulness with warmth, curiosity and humour.
 
Following a fulfilling career in HR Resourcing in the construction and energy sectors for 16 years, she experienced a period of quite intense loss, and decided to take time out to focus on family. It was during this time that she discovered the power of mindfulness practice. Elspeth holds a Mindfulness Teaching qualification in the Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC) with Shamash Alidina’s Teach Mindfulness Academy, accredited by the Complementary Medical Association (CMA). She also holds a Level 2 Diploma in Integral Sound Healing for Groups with the Sound Healing Academy. Elspeth has trained in the mindfulness-based approach of ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Training) for adults and adolescents, is a registered member of the CMA, and holds PVG Scheme Membership.

SoulFull Yoga with Tricia Murray

NEW Yoga class in the studio on Tuesday afternoons, so if you are looking for some movement around lunchtime why not join in with Tricia. 

No previous experience of Yoga is required, all very welcome in particular beginners. 

You do not have to be flexible, be able to stretch, you may just want to try a yoga class that allows you to move safely within each asana for an hour. Yoga is defintley not about the perfect pose, its about flowing with the breath and being in the moment.

Summer Day Retreat (Refresh, Reflect, Renew)

Guided by principles of Environmental Arts Therapy and led by a qualified dramatherapist (Abigail Nelson), this day retreat is designed to allow you to find stillness in the busyness of summer to (re)connect with your inner world, held and inspired by nature. 

Come as you are and find your intuition, your unique wisdom, your authentic creativity and your innate connection to nature.

Meet Your Guide – Abigail Nelson, Dramatherapist

As a dramatherapist, Abigail runs a private practice in Leith, offering therapy to adults with various experiences, including neurodivergence, depression, anxiety, trauma and mental health diagnoses. She is also a guest lecturer at Queen Margaret University on the Dramatherapy MSc and short course and is undertaking research on neurodivergent creativity. Abigail is passionate about running events that fostering deep connection to the self, others and nature through creativity.
